From the Boardroom to the Dance Floor: Why N9N is Mine Means So Much More

You can listen to N9N is Mine, written for my daughter and all her friends turning Nine this year! Part of my Mom-tastic Moments!

When I first started climbing the executive ladder, I thought success was about achievement — the next milestone, the next title, the next goal checked off a list. But somewhere along the way, life taught me something deeper: It’s not what you achieve that matters most. It’s who you’re doing it all for.

At the end of the day, it’s not the titles or awards that stay with you. It’s the bright eyes that look up at you — believing you're unstoppable, believing you're their hero — and you realize: You want to be the person they already believe you are.

That realization led me to create N9N is Mine — a song I wrote for my newly nine-year-old daughter, Nessa, and her amazing group of friends who are stepping into one of the most magical seasons of growing up.

N9N is Mine celebrates that incredible moment where childhood wonder meets new confidence — when the world feels wide open and every dream feels possible. It’s about owning who you are, embracing adventure, and shining brightly, one step at a time.

Apparently, somewhere between boardrooms and strategy meetings, I also became someone who writes songs. (Didn’t see that on my original five-year plan, but here we are.)

Now, our family has a new tradition:

We blast the songs in the car. We dance barefoot in the living room.

We let the world hear little voices belting out lyrics that were written just for them.

And the best part?

I have the most important client in the world — my daughter — and her nine-year-old peer group is already huge fans.

It’s messy.

It’s loud.

It’s imperfect.

And it’s everything.

Because when you strip it all down, real success isn’t about recognition or awards — it’s about creating the kind of life your kids are proud to be a part of.

It’s about building memories that say:"You are seen. You are loved. You are worth celebrating."

The boardroom taught me how to lead others. But the dance floor — with outstretched arms, big dreams, and even bigger hearts — is teaching me how to lead a life that truly matters.

N9N is Mine is just the beginning. And honestly?

This is the best work I've ever done.

Lyrics for those that want to read them too:

Wake up stretch sunshine's bright

Today's the day it feels so right

Eight was great but now it's time

To step into this world as nine!

Twirl around arms open wide

Life's an adventure a magical ride

With dreams so big and a heart that shines

I'm ready for the world—it's all mine!

I'm growing up I'm standing tall

Full of love I've got it all

Curious bright silly and free

A world of wonder waits for me!

Friends by my side laughter so loud

Dancing in circles spinning around

Nine is here and oh it's fine—

This new adventure is mine all mine!

Paint on my hands stars in my eyes

Building castles reaching skies

Big sister hugs stories to share

Every moment I'm full of care

Twirl around arms open wide

Life's an adventure a magical ride

With dreams so big and a heart that shines

I'm ready for the world—it's all mine!

I'm growing up I'm standing tall

Full of love I've got it all

Curious bright silly and free

A world of wonder waits for me!

Friends by my side laughter so loud

Dancing in circles spinning around

Nine is here and oh it's fine—

This new adventure is mine all mine!

So many stories waiting to start

So many dreams inside my heart

Jumping high reaching far

I know I was made to shine like a star!

I'm growing up I'm standing tall

Full of love I've got it all

Curious bright silly and free

A world of wonder waits for me!

Friends by my side laughter so loud

Dancing in circles spinning around

Nine is here and oh it's fine—

This new adventure is mine all mine!

Nine is mine the stars align

A beautiful journey one step at a time
